About the Role (your why)  

As an Employment Relations Advisor, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring fair and effective employment practices, with guidance, to our Australian practice. This is an ANZ team and there will at times be the opportunity to work across NZ legislation.  This role will analyse information and data necessary to define and discern reputational, cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes. The role oversees daily business activities within the functional area, including, working alongside colleagues to improve overall business functions.

• Provide expert advice on employment legislation, policies, and procedures  to People and Culture, and the business, within the latitude of established company policies in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
• Conduct investigations into workplace disputes, grievances, and disciplinary matters and represent Datacom where necessary in meetings, negotiations and investigations with employees/their representative.
• Conduct research on human resource policies, case law and other employment issues.
• Ensuring value and business outcomes are evaluated and articulated appropriately.
• Familiarity with recognised industry bodies of knowledge, both generic and specific.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and legal developments.

What you’ll bring  

• Bachelor degree in Human Resources or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of employee and industrial relations frameworks.

• Ability to understand impact of decisions on wider group.

• Demonstrated experience in a ER role.

About the opportunity:

We are looking for a casual farm hand to work on our existing macadamia orchards and developments across multiple properties in the Maryborough region. If you are a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for safety and a passion for outdoor work, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Orchard Manager, you will be responsible for:

• All aspects of farm work
• Contributing to the development and installation of irrigation systems
• Operating farming machinery
• Assisting with the herbicide and pesticide application
• Contributing to a positive and productive working environment.

• You will hold a C class drivers licence (essential) 
• You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with potential for Saturday work)
• A positive, can-do attitude is essential
• You will have experienced working on a farm (preferred but not essential)
• A holder of a Chemical Users Certificate (preferred but not essential)
• Certificate II or III in Rural Studies or Horticulture or Agriculture (preferred but not essential)

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Infrastructure and Manufacturing will work closely with senior team members and external parties to collaboratively design, plan, project manage and deliver key infrastructure whereby Loam is a key stakeholder and transition the manufacturing of the methane abatement product to scale. This will accelerate the timeline to commercialisation of products to the livestock sector that deliver methane abatement outcomes.

Initially, the role will focus upon coordinating and overseeing the transition of the current laboratory and staff located at Charles Sturt University, Orange to a new facility. The new facility will include a dedicated laboratory, office space and a pilot biomanufacturing plant that has the potential to scale to commercial supply. Concurrently, the role encompasses the responsibility for design, construction and installation of unique methane measurement chambers designed for beef cattle (and supporting equipment) to be located at Central Queensland University, Rockhampton. As product development matures, the role will lead the biomanufacturing scale up and assist in the delivery of large scale animal field trials in the field that require infrastructure and adoption of integrated technologies.

About you

You will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects in accordance with agreed deadlines whilst conforming to regulations and design codes. You must have the ability to successfully integrate services and work collaboratively with a range of diverse and geographically dispersed stakeholders and contractors.

The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator, practical and forward thinking, be meticulous in planning but also comfortable with managing continuous change. Experience in the agricultural sector and specifically livestock operations is highly desirable.

The role will be based in Orange or southern Queensland, requiring intermittent both intra and interstate travel.

• Develop and implement strategic plans for infrastructure and manufacturing across multiple global locations of a novel product line.

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will directly report to the Financial Controller and ensure hotel Accounts Receivable operates efficiently and effectively through timely billing of receivables, control and collection of receivables debt. 

What you will be doing:

• Ensure invoices are sent within 24hrs of checkout as per hotel policy
• Reconcile gaming machine revenue, jackpot payouts and maintaining statutory compliance
• Prepare accurate tax invoices and statements for airline crews
• Undertake certain income audit duties as requested across our diverse revenue streams 
• Support other roles of the finance department
• Follow processes to limit or eliminate bad debt
• Ensure accurate weekly/monthly accounts are issued per specific agreed contracted business dates
• Overseeing  accuracy of the Deposit Ledger
