They are the largest independent boarding school in Queensland and the second largest co-educational boarding school in Australia. Your new role As Finance officer, you will report directly to the Finance Manger and find yourself carrying out duties including but not limited to;
Oversee the operation of finance and administration, including the reception area, accounts payable and receivable
General Administration duties as directed to ensure the success of the Finance team
Preparation of monthly management reports in liaison with the Finance Manager
Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger & the asset register
Administration Support to the Finance Manager & Board Secretary
Accounts receivable and accounts payable day-to-day processing
Assisting with preparation of the annual operating budget
Assistance with general office duties as required
Managing Corporate Credit Cards
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will require the following;
Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, relevant tax and statutory requirements for a non-profit
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, with a particular focus on Excel Spreadsheet?
Highly regarded but not essential previous experience within the Education System / Non-for profit
Experience in development and leading budgetary and forecasting processes
Current Blue Card and the ability to Pass a pre-employment Police Check
Experience with TASS and Sage will be highly regarded;
A minimum of 4 years of experience as Finance Officer
Experience in the preparation of financial reports;
Strong Verbal and written Communication?
Strong attention to detail and accuracy ?
