The Opportunity:
As part of our exciting expansion into the Southeast Asian market --particularly targeting China and South Korea -- we are looking for a motivated and talented Regional Sales & Marketing Manager. This senior role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of our marketing strategy in these key markets. You will lead initiatives to grow our presence, develop a robust brand strategy, and enhance our engagement with prospective students. This is a unique opportunity to shape and drive Abbey's vision and contribute significantly to our continued growth.
To be successful in this role you will have:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher.
· Fluency in Korean, Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures.
· At least 1+ year of experience in a marketing leadership role, with industry experience being flexible. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the education sector.
· Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to Southeast Asian markets.
· Advanced understanding of digital marketing tools and their application in the Southeast Asian context.
· Expertise in managing and optimizing social media platforms, including Little Red Note (Xiaohongshu), WeChat, TikTok, and KakaoTalk.
· A proven track record in leading successful campaigns that drive growth, engagement, and conversions.
· Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Strong analytical abilities with the proven capacity to interpret market trends and performance data.
Tasks & responsibilities
Strategic Leadership in Southeast Asian Market
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies, with a specific focus on expanding into the Chinese and South Korean markets.
Align marketing initiatives with Abbey’s overall growth objectives and brand positioning.
· Lead a team of marketing specialists and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
Digital Strategy & Brand Management
· Analyse social media metrics, especially those relevant to Southeast Asian audiences, to optimize campaigns and ensure alignment with regional preferences.
· Be prepared for business travel to target countries and regions, and organize promotional events in the target market.
· Oversee the development of a cohesive digital strategy tailored to Southeast Asian markets.
· Monitor and analyze social media like WeChat, Little Red Note (Xiaohongshu), & KakaoTalk, and campaign metrics to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with goals.
Partnership Development
Establish and maintain relationships with key educational agents and partners in China and South Korea.
Represent Abbey in business travel and promotional events in the target markets.
Content Creation & Oversight
Direct the creation of culturally relevant and high-quality content for digital and offline platforms.
Ensure consistent branding across all materials, aligned with Southeast Asian cultural preferences.
Market Analysis & Reporting
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and assess competitor activities.
Prepare regular reports on marketing performance, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
Event Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute both online and offline events, such as virtual open days and in-person workshops.
Collaborate with educational agents on marketing campaigns to build long-term relationships and expand our network in these regions.
