How you will make an impact The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) will work closely with the Nurse Manager and management team providing strong, effective leadership by promoting excellence in clinical practice, and supporting the Nurse Manager in the strategic direction of the Cardiac department. The award-winning cardiac department at Cabrini is strongly committed to our staff's education and ongoing professional development. We seek motivated and innovative ANUM who is looking to advance their career in cardiac nursing and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. Key responsibilities will include:
Providing flexible and highly responsive service to patients and consumers.
Utilising clinical knowledge, experience and skills to provide leadership and operational direction.
Coordinating and overseeing the delivery of patient care.
Ensuring hospital policies, procedures and protocols are implemented and monitored.
Holding accountability for the ward when the Nurse Manager is not present.
About You Along with your passion for delivering a high standard of nursing care and an interest in further developing your skills, you will also have:
Demonstrated clinical and leadership skills as a Registered Nurse, minimum two years' experience in a similar role.
Current Registration with AHPRA
Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Nursing
Hold a current Working with Children
Excellent clinical skills in caring for cardiology, cardiac interventional and cardiac surgical patients
Commitment to patient focus and patient outcomes
Competency and confidence in managing an acute situation
