The Role
We are looking for a seasoned salesperson for an account executive role in our banking and finance services domain. The chosen candidate will need to be capable of managing existing accounts and hunting for new logos. Depending on experience, skillset and preference, we can adjust the ratio of account management to new logo responsibilities.
Experience of complex B2B sales in a business development capacity is essential. A background in selling professional services and/or the tech sector is also needed. Banking and financial services experience is ideal but not mandatory.
The chosen candidate will need to work with their clients and peers to identify gaps or opportunities in the client’s organization and map these to internal capability and offerings.
The role comes with a healthy balance of autonomy and responsibility. Whilst you’ll have support from solutioning, SME’s and delivery, we expect our account executives to take full responsibility for their accounts, this is a true leadership position.

Responsibilities:
· Responsible for achieving revenue targets across existing and new clients
· Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract closure.
· Identify gaps in existing clientele’s digitalization roadmap & work with solutions team to curate tailor-made solutions
·
· Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships through both virtual and in person connects on a frequent basis
· Build long-term strategic relationships with target clients and referrals in the BFS space, alliance partners, and identify new market/growth opportunities to establish a strong sales pipeline
· Consult with senior management to executives in local banks, to understand their needs and technical roadmap, creating clear paths to achieve their digitalization objectives
· Innovate new ways of business development with local banking clients and establish strong brand presence
· Work with cross regional teams to understand Virtusa’s digital solution offerings and bring them to the prospective clients in Australia
· Effectively perform competitive analysis with respect to strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats and share information with solutioning team for enhancements to existing competencies
· Identify champions within target accounts and build credibility within the centers of influence with your thought leadership.
· Accurately forecast quarterly revenue attainment
Skills & Experience
· At least 5 years of sales experience in a B2B business development role (can be both farming and hunting) with a history of hitting targets, Understanding of the full sales lifecycle including opportunity identification, qualification, negotiation and closing
· Highly motivated, self-driven, objective, results-focused and able to multitask when necessary
· Agile mindset, ‘can-do’ attitude, able to navigate ambiguous situations / asks from clients
· Able to build relationships in large complex matrix organizations to achieve results – relating to internally and within the target clients.
· Independent and resourceful individual with out-of-box growth mindset
· Able to communicate effectively and influence key decision makers with strong credibility
· Possess a strong business consulting approach, delivered up to C-suite stakeholders. Understanding of the banking domain with software services knowledge is an advantage
· Highly motivated, self-driven, objective, results-focused and able to multitask when necessary
