About the role Jemena owns and operates a diverse portfolio of energy infrastructure assets across the east coast of Australia. Our Government Relations and Policy Team plays a crucial role in shaping the energy landscape by engaging with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders. We are committed to driving forward-thinking strategies that support our operations, investments, and advocacy initiatives. We are seeking a diligent and experienced Senior Policy Advisor to join our Government Relations and Policy Team. In this pivotal role, you will conduct in-depth analysis, industry engagement and research on various issues impacting Jemena and Zinfra's asset portfolio. Your insights will be instrumental in shaping our energy policy positions and strategies, which will support their implementation and help drive the wider Australian energy transition. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and Analyse Trends: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring and analysing economic, social, technical, market, regulatory, and policy data and trends. Your insights will help us navigate the ever-evolving energy landscape.
Prepare Policy Communications: Assist in crafting a range of policy communications, including presentations, research reports, analytical papers, and written policy submissions. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively will be essential.
Advocate for Jemena: Play an important role in designing and representing Jemena's policy positions with government officials, industry stakeholders, and at public policy forums. Your expertise and professionalism will help us build strong relationships and influence policy decisions.
What You'll Bring:
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse complex energy policies, regulations and data and overall market trends to inform Jemena's policy advocacy and strategic priorities.
Communication Skills: Exceptional writing and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience in engaging with government and policy-related stakeholders. Your diplomacy and negotiation skills will be key in representing Jemena effectively.
Policy Expertise: Deep understanding of energy policy and regulatory environments. Your knowledge will help us stay compliant and proactive in a fast-changing industry.
