Due to internal movements, we are currently looking for a passionate Senior Data Centre Technician to join our Artarmon facilities team.  

The purpose of this role is to support the Facility Manager with the day-to-day operations of the data centre by providing high quality & efficient technical maintenance and customer service. This role will also be the lead in SME for the team of Data Centre Technicians and be required to participate in an on-call roster. 
 
What you’ll do: 

• Excellent customer communication skills with a proven ability to handle customer escalations 

• Assess all areas of risk from OH&S, security, to facility technical and critical system operations, policy and procedures to ensure customer services and business operations operate within a risk profile approved by the NEXTDC executive leadership team  

• Provide an integration/coordination point into NEXTDC Facilities, for infrastructure supporting critical support systems, Power monitoring and Rack locking, Temp and Humidity monitoring  

• Assist with customer deliveries handling of equipment and any assembly as required  

• Work with members of the Facility and Business Framework teams to challenge, develop and deliver workflows, process, policy and procedures for all aspects of facility and system operations. 

• Monitor all critical systems through Building Management Systems, diagnose upon failure critical systems and escalate as required 

• Participate in Facility Management related tasks where required

The role
We are seeking a full-time senior unmanned systems engineer who is capable of executing the following tasks:
• Lead development of real-time applications for autopilot/drone operation
• Conduct flight testing
• Assist in developing manuals and training programs
• Design and troubleshoot custom avionics electronics systems
• Develop software for micro-controller based sub-systems
• Develop test profiles and scripts for validation and quality assurance
• Develop interfaces for third-party payloads

We are currently seeking a motivated Senior Security Architect to join our high performing cyber security practice. You will have experience with discussing, scoping, proposing, selling and delivering a range of projects for a range of clients from various industry verticals and will be a proficient Security Architect with expert knowledge of systems and/or networks and architectural frameworks and approaches. You will also ideally possess an IRAP Assessor certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a Pre-sales capacity, demonstrating solutions and guiding customers through their requirement for security solutions
• Deliver security projects including initial client workshops to understand technical specifications and the creation of project deliverables such as High-Level Designs, Detailed-Level Designs, Implementation & Test Plans and As-Built Documents

• 5+ years' experience as a Security Architect with expert knowledge in the areas of security architecture & security infrastructure
• Ability to review new and existing Information Technology projects for information security compliance by developing, documenting, and communicating adherence to architecture, blueprints, components, standards, and strategies
• Consult across a wide variety of information security disciplines including infrastructure security, security solution design, risk management, web, and application security

• Problem-solving, critical thinking and time management abilities
• Working knowledge of international security and risk-related standards or frameworks such as SABSA, CISSP, ASD8, NIST, ISO-27000 series, PCI and GDPR
