Moose Toys is seeking a Management and Marketing Consultant.
Role Objective
Develop and deliver a robust global roadmap that unites global and local marketing to deliver greater synergies across consumer and retailer strategies. Review and refine the brand direction and finance management processes to drive business profitability in line with strategic plan. Identify global opportunities across the business to deliver efficiencies, process improvements and strategic planning and resource needs within the marketing function. Lead an effective team who can collaborate across key territories to implement direction set.
Responsibilities
•Assist on projects with a focus on systems, process and tools that will enhance financial modelling and P&L oversight as it relates to the brand management function.
•Operate as Systems Rep with a view to monitoring all business functions to break down silos and encourage functional integration and efficiency.
•Identify opportunities for more effective dissemination and reporting of sales and marketing data during critical sales periods in order to improve delivery of key business KPI’s.
•Drive the acquisition of brands, companies, assets and IP.
•In partnership with the CMO, deliver a 5-year roadmap that supports the Company Strategic Plan.
•In consultation with EVP Global Marketing, annually review the Brand Direction Outline process to enhance how the deliverables are presented to design to drive a higher compliance rate.
•Lead corporate initiative on the development and establishment of a formalized research and consumer insights function. Deliver strategic guidance and roadmap for successful implementation. Support creation and timely execution of forward looking 3-year strategic plans.
•Deliver in partnership with marketing team all global and local marketing strategies and tactics for all markets for respective category managed.
•Provide insight and direction to SME and Global brand team on new systems / processes to deliver best in class execution and delivery of all global marketing assets.
•Support Global Brand Team on the delivery of portfolio level Gross Sales, Gross Margin and Direct Contribution targets on a yearly basis.
•Consult and partner with Brand Finance to create guardrails that can automatically flag forecasting errors or dramatic shifts on a monthly basis. Address and recommend ongoing solutions to align seasonal budget management and fiscal sales forecast reporting cycles.
Key Skills and Experience
•Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities; able to formulate key brand and marketing strategies in isolation for their relevant categories.
•Brand building capabilities and content strategy/implementation.
•Strong experience developing and implementing creative and innovative marketing strategies and plans for global consumer products with proven results.
•Lead, supervise and provide clear direction; motivate and empowers others; provide development opportunities and coaching.
•Understand and anticipate global markets and customer needs. Source of brand vision & direction within the context of an ever dynamically changing marketplace.
•Drive improvements for business results; delivering global P&L results.
•Demonstrate a level of understanding of all key partner organisations, departments & functions.
•Comprehensive media skills and adept with digital and social platforms.
•Comprehensive understanding of major global network partners.
•Proven feel for “product”. Senior level experience/mastery of the product development lifecycle.
•Consistently produce new ideas, approaches and insights for product and marketing strategy within their portfolio.
•Present and communicate with impact and able to express opinions, information, and key points of an argument clearly.
•Adapts to changing circumstances and accepts new ideas and change initiatives.
•Make rational judgements from the available information and analysis; Manage risk and conduct audits.
Qualifications
• A minimum of eight years’ experience in similar management consulting roles, with a focus on business management and marketing.
• Relevant academic qualifications in a related field eg. Bachelor of Marketing; MBA preferred.
• Prior experience of the toy industry and consumer marketing to children highly preferred.
