Our client, The Trustee for V Nandan Family Trust T/A Lakis Dry Cleaning prides in providing professional and top-quality dry-cleaning service offering at affordable prices at Inala, QLD. The client operates dry-cleaning store in Inala with outstanding level of professionalism. The client provides dry-cleaning services for a range of items including Business wear, Casual, Formal wear, Bedding plus more.
The client is looking for a full time Retail Manager who has high levels of energy, customer focussed and driven to deliver exceptional service whereby elevating customer shopping experience. You will also manage and oversee the sorting, processing (washing/ ironing/ packing).
The managerial and administrative aspect of your role will encompass determining service standards, maintaining records, financial transactions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. You will ensure that the valuable customers get the highest level of service and an experience they will always remember.
You will be fully responsible for upholding store standards and achieving sales targets. The successful applicant will have previous retail experience as they will be accountable for the end-to-end operations of the store and to ensure the company's policies and procedures are fully adhered to.
Minimum Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field
3+ years' experience in a similar role
In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Formulate and implement purchasing policies and setting prices
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery
• Mentor and motivate the store team to improve their sales skills and the customer experience
• Ensuring a high-quality laundry service is provided to clients at all times
• Ensuring laundry schedules are followed and met within allocated time frames
• Manage inventory and visual merchandising of the store
• Create and deliver daily plans and strategies to ensure store & individual budgets/ targets are achieved
• Maintain excellent store standards and merchandising
• Minimise out of stocks, stock loss and maximise sales
• Independently deal with store related enquiries
• Manage, support and develop your team to drive performance
• Manage and prepare budget reports, rosters, stock take and ordering
• Deal with queries, complaints and feedback from customers
• Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
• Maintain awareness of market trends and monitor competitors
• Maintain records of financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Ensure a safe working environment – following all policies and procedures
• Determine special promotions and service standards as per the standards set and policy established
• Liaise with the owner on possibilities of pricing variations while ensuring profit margins are intact
• Build sustainable, long-term supplier relationships
The successful candidate will have a passion for the retail sector, be career focused and have strong management qualities. Other key skills and experience will include:
• Retail management experience
• Customer reporting and stock taking skills imperative
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate/influence both internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability in driving sales and achieving KPI'S & budgets
• Ability to lead and motivate the team to meet high service standards
• Demonstrated skills in stock management
• Strong commercial awareness
• Ability to deliver consistent results
