The Product team is responsible for shaping the digital product experience for Nine Digital and Publishing's wealth of properties including subscription mastheads The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review and Australia's leading broadcast video-on-demand destination, 9Now.

To do this, Product collaborates with partners from every part of Nine to understand audiences and create meaningful experiences that power Nine’s ambitious growth goals. 

The product portfolio also includes nine.com.au, 9News.com.au, Wide World of Sports, 9Honey, Essential Parenting, Brisbane Times and WAToday. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a Senior Product Manager with great data skills to contribute to the growth of these key and historic institutions in Australian society.

Reporting to the Director Data Product & Analytics you will lead the data Product Vision and Strategy for internal Publishing stakeholders defining their data requirements and work with Technology to make them happen. It’s an incredible time to join the team as we prepare to deliver a world class publishing experience to grow engagement, maximise the Olympics and drive commercial growth. 

Responsibilities

• Research, scope and define new products
• Collaborate with engineers on technical solutions, estimates and customer experiences
• Set Product vision and develop strategic plan
• Collaborate with stakeholders to surface and synthesise membership and subscription requirements for our audience titles
• Act as a bridge between product analysts, engineers, designers and the business working seamlessly together to develop compelling product solutions
• Create and maintain product roadmap using real-world user data, customer feedback, key metrics and other forms of business intelligence to inform the product roadmap.

The Australian Financial Review is looking for a visual journalist to create rich digital stories using data visualisations, geospatial tools and other interactive elements that will engage and inform our readers.

Day to day you will:

• Build bold and beautiful presentations, charts, maps and infographics that will bring complex stories to life.
• Work closely with designers, reporters, editors, and producers to deliver insights and context to Financial Review subscribers. And you will also generate and develop your own ideas. There is potential for this to be a team-leading role depending on experience.
• Use your technical acumen to devise presentations, you will also exercise design and journalistic judgment to ensure the clarity, accuracy and functionality of your work.

We're hiring a Multimedia Producer for 60 Minutes based in our North Sydney Office. In this role you'll create digital content for 9Now, social media, YouTube, and the 60 Minutes website. Plus, you'll lead a new digital project for the show.

You'll boost digital audience and engagement, ensuring top-quality content delivery worldwide. This role sits in our News & Sport Social team, collaborating across departments. We need an experienced digital journalist skilled in writing, video, and social media. You'll craft compelling copy and produce video and graphics with our team. Experience managing YouTube channels and social media is a must, along with a passion for news and current affairs.

Day to day includes, but won't be limited to: 

• Working with journalists, producers and editors to create bespoke digital content
• Production and editing of video content for digital platforms and social media accounts
• Customising existing content for vertical video platforms
• Writing articles for the 60 Minutes website
• Managing 60 Minutes’ digital presence across on and off network platforms, including moderation
• Meeting and exceeding audience and revenue targets
• Driving new content projects from inception to completion
• Weekend and after hours work
