In your role as Engineering Manager, you’ll be leading the web engineering team responsible for one of our most valuable subscription products, The Australian Financial Review. You’ll play a vital role in helping your team grow their skills professionally while delivering the product & technology roadmap for the authoritative brand on business, finance and investment news in Australia.
Deliver business/audience value
- Partner with key stakeholders to translate business goals and requirements into effective engineering solutions & deliverables
- Drive the continuous improvement of squad processes and ways of work to improve team capacity and capability
Technical Leadership
- Drive adoption of best practice and ensuring engineering decisions align with the project and product engineering strategy
- Work with team members to guide solutions towards business and technology goals
- Act as a enabler, removing roadblocks to progress as needed
- Remove single points of failure by cross-skilling staff
Drive high performance
- Establish and maintain a highly motivated and high performance team culture through one on one feedback, mentoring, coaching and performance management
