The Research & Insights Analyst will be responsible for providing reporting, research and insights into the performance of Nine's Digital and Publishing brands to key stakeholders within the company to assist in the growth of audience reach & revenue within the competitive digital and publishing marketplace.  

The role sits within the broader Sales Research & Insights team who assist to provide insights across all of Nine’s media assets including Total TV and Total Audio.

Day to day you will:

• Respond effectively to research requests from the sales team and ensure the salesperson understands the research and its application in telling a good sales story for Nine’s Digital & Publishing brands
• Analyse site traffic and find patterns of behaviour that can be leveraged to maximise advertising revenue

The responsibility of this role is to support the Senior Manager, Actuarial Services and General Manager, Actuarial Services in carrying out actuarial valuations, business planning, advice and insights to drive intelligent, commercial outcomes for Rest’s Insurance Group.  Reporting to the Senior Manager or General Manager, Actuarial Services this role will support the provision of strategic analytical advice and support relating to negotiations and decision making in the group insurance pricing under the Premium Adjustment Model (i.e. profit-sharing group insurance), Insurance Reserve monitoring and forecasting.

• Overall responsibility for supporting financial management of the insurance premium costs and insurance reserving. You will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data related to insurance premiums and reserves, as well as identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting the Premium Adjustment Model process. Prepare independent loss ratio analysis, validate insurer’s loss ratio assumptions, methodology, negotiate with insurer on forward adjustments for best estimate pricing and review annual APA calculations on an annual basis.
• Quarterly loss ratio reporting. The results are presented at Product Impact Forum (PIF) to Rest senior leaders.

About the business
Sydney Montessori School is a specialist independent school located in the Sutherland Shire, in a wonderful spacious setting close to Gymea station. The school has been operating since 1981, and prides itself on offering an excellent Montessori education from birth to age 12. As a Science Content Coordinator, you'll be working closely with the science content team, design team and engineering teams to assist in the creation, rollout, and maintenance of our suite of digital and print products. You'll oversee updates and reprints of our print product, co-ordinate regular releases of our digital products, and liaise with student testers and teachers, subject matter experts and career profilists to ensure our resources are bullet-proof before they get into the classroom.

How you'll spend your time
