How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
As our new EI&C Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the Industrial EI&C team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.
Your role may include:
- Preparing detailed design of LV/ELV electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
- Configuration, programming, and development of PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS platforms.
- Selection and configuration of VSD, electrical devices, instruments, and sensors.
- Providing solution for clients’ technical needs.
- Preparing technical and fee proposals for tenders.
- Client liaison and support.
- Project engineering and planning.
- Travelling to clients’ site (Illawarra region)
- On-site testing and commissioning.

What are we looking for from you?

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.
As well as experience in a similar engineering role previously. You would require having and demonstrating these:
- Completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
- A minimum of 5 years’ post graduate experience across all project development phases from concept design, FEED, and detailed design to site commissioning of industrial projects.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, VSD, SCADA, DCS, instruments, industrial networks, electric motors, switchboards, and MCCs.
- Applied knowledge of relevant Australian Standards including AS 3000, and AS 3008.1.1.
- Experience with Safety in Design practices, risk assessment, preparing proposals, project engineering and planning.
- Ability to travel and work on clients’ sites.
- Ability to proactively interact with clients, stakeholders, project managers, engineers, and designers from other disciplines to provide the best solution for clients’ requirements and deliver project deliverables with highest quality as per the schedule.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to be able to interface with clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
