Our client, Carpentry Guru Pty Ltd, is a professional carpentry firm with a strong reputation for quality service and workmanship. Located in Cranbourne East, VIC, the company is seeking to add a skilled Carpenter to their dedicated team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-standard carpentry projects while working with a company renowned for excellence in the construction industry.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Study drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
- Order and select timber and other materials for project requirements.
- Prepare and lay out materials for carpentry tasks.
- Cut and shape wood and other materials to exact dimensions.
- Assemble and install framework, sub-flooring, and roof framing.
- Construct and install wooden structures and fittings.
- Fit and secure exterior wall cladding, door, and window frames.
- Assemble and repair fixtures, furniture, and fittings as required.
- Construct concrete formwork and framework for specialised projects.
- Inspect and verify trueness and stability of structures during and after assembly.
- Install laminated and perspex finishes where required.
- Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct quality control checks on all completed works.
- Comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Minimum of three years’ professional experience in carpentry and construction projects.
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in cutting, shaping, and assembling timber structures.
- Strong knowledge of materials and installation procedures in carpentry.
- Experience with concrete formwork and framework assembly.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
