I am responsible for delivering outstanding QSC, sales, people practices and profit on my shifts. I supervise employees to ensure that restaurant operations and procedures are adhered to. I engage with crew and fellow managers to deliver great business outcomes by bringing the Macca’s Experience to life on each and every shift. I ensure every customer has a memorable McDonald’s experience.
I comply with restaurant safety and security standards which includes investigating all incidents and taking corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and customers. I escalate safety and security matters to the Restaurant Manager where necessary. In addition to supervising employees, I am responsible for ensuring the restaurant is stocked with sufficient product and that the kitchen is operating effectively to serve gold standard food, to every customer
QSC&V
Core Responsibilities
• I adapt to our customer’s ever-changing needs and strive to deliver outstanding QSC&V with an added ouch of the Macca’s Experience by utilising shift planning tools.
• I take responsibility and ownership for ensuring excellent food safety throughout the shift, by complying with McDonald’s and government food safety standards.
• I am responsible for planned and daily maintenance of equipment to ensure cleanliness and correct working order.
Secondary Responsibilities
• I follow up on the maintenance of the restaurant building, plant and equipment — troubleshooting and calibrating when necessary to maintain QSC&V.
• I ensure production metrics (e.g. side 2 percentage, KVS time, and 15 minute burger count) are achieved to drive kitchen performance and overall speed of service.
PEOPLE
Core Responsibilities
• I role model, enforce and educate crew on relevant McDonald’s Policies, such as Respectful Workplace and Social Media, employment laws, security and safety procedures.
• I communicate effectively to convey information and ideas in an open and timely manner. I provide feedback to previous and subsequent Shift Managers to identify opportunities, results and restaurant trends.
• I actively seek out opportunities to coach and develop crew. With the support of my Restaurant Manager I identify and take action to resolve
performance opportunities and conduct yearly crew performance reviews on assigned department crew.
Secondary Responsibilities
• I verify employees are adequately trained on the completion of relevant PM tasks.
PROFIT
Core Responsibilities
• Personally accept accountability for the results of myself and others on my shifts, in the pursuit of sustained profitable growth.
• I demonstrate an overarching understanding of the impact my shifts may have on overall profitability of the restaurant and show consideration for inventory, labour and cash control.
• I am accountable for cash control on my shifts, ensuring that cash is managed in accordance with McDonald’s Policies and Procedures.
Secondary Responsibilities
• I maintain the accuracy of the ordering system and the completion of stock orders whilst ensuring delivery accuracy and product rotation.
• I analyse food cost components (raw and completed waste, food promotions, T-reds, employee and manager meals, and condiments) to develop and communicate weekly food cost action plans to managers and crew.
SALES
Core Responsibilities
• I actively seek customer feedback during my shift to ensure an exceptional customer experience is achieved, driving repeat business.
• I execute the restaurant marketing plan to maximise sales and ensure that the plan is communicated to all crew on shift.
• I am responsible for reviewing and monitoring guest counts and sales projections to ensure they are aligned to shift targets and restaurant goals.
Secondary Responsibilities
• I generate, analyse and present restaurant results in relation to food control to uncover ways to drive improved performance.
• I ensure the completion of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual PM tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition to meet customer demand.
Annual Salary between $65,000 - $80,000 based on experience and qualifications
