Position: Café Manager

Location: Mount Waverley, VIC

Job Responsibilities:
• Collaboratively design and regularly update menus, ensuring alignment with seasonal availability and culinary trends while working closely with our talented chefs.
• Organize and manage special events and functions, tailoring each event to ensure a unique and satisfying experience for our guests.
• Oversee the procurement and financial aspects of kitchen and dining operations, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to budgets.
• Maintain meticulous records of inventory and financial transactions to ensure the smooth operation of the café.
• Uphold stringent standards of hygiene and regulatory compliance in all dining and kitchen areas, ensuring a clean, functional, and inviting environment.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback on food and service quality, using insights to enhance the dining experience.
• Lead, train, and manage our team of service and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Handle reservations and guest interactions with the utmost professionalism, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones, including social media engagement and local community initiatives.
• Continuously assess and innovate operational processes to improve efficiency and customer service.

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week

Personal Attributes:
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with both staff and patrons.
• A proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
• Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within the hospitality industry.
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
