GV Stone Works are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Industrial Designer to join their team in Shepparton Vic 3630.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Defining design briefs and limitations through client and stakeholder consultations.
- Conducting product research to assess functional, commercial, cultural, and aesthetic needs
- Developing design concepts for various products including clothing, textiles, industrial items, commercial goods, consumer products, and jewelry.
- Creating visual aids like sketches, diagrams, and models to convey design ideas effectively
- Negotiating design solutions with clients, management, and relevant staff
- Selecting and recommending materials, production methods, and finishes that meet both functional and aesthetic requirements
- Documenting the chosen design thoroughly for production
- Overseeing prototype development and sample creation
- Supervising pattern, program, and tooling preparation, as well as the manufacturing process
Skills and Abilities:
- The ability to work in a team environment
- At least 3 years’ experience as Industrial Designer.
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
