Due to exciting plans, we are looking for a new Head of People to join our Senior Leadership Team!

We love our people, so we want to ensure they are treated exceptionally well and are provided a very high quality employee experience and you will drive this for TeamBlue.

Reporting to the General Manager – Experience, the Head of People delivers overall governance of the HR practice, and acts as an SME providing day to day support and guidance to line managers regarding employment legislation and Human Resources best practice.  

This role will be based in our Head Office, Abbotsford Melbourne and require 4 days in the office/1 day WFH.

Role

  • Provide leadership and management to the People Experience Team ensuring effective, business-focused People Experience services to build capability within our people leaders
  • Team Management of 2 People Coordinators-1 onshore and 1 offshore
  • Responsible for management and governance of People systems, policy and procedure application
  • Manage the HRIS (Rippling), Onboarding (emborder)  to ensure optimisation of the system, workflows and policies and processes
  • Provide specialist advice, guidance and support regarding current industrial Award provisions, legislative matters, and change management processes relating to structural reforms
  • Managing multiple relationships with providers and govt bodies including multiple EOR, Workcover and employee benefit providers.
  • Lead the development and implementation of People Experience related plans, policies, strategies and key projects for the business, to support the values and to develop an engaged and positive working environment that aligns with our company culture pillars.
  • Be comfortable with balancing business performance, relative with strategic priorities, whilst minimising risk.
  •  Bring a fresh approach with modern practices around performance management, staff development, career succession planning and staff retention.
  • Overseeing onboarding of our newcomers and ongoing development of current team is also critical in your daily workload.
  • Be a culture champion and implement change that has a long term positive impact on the business
  • Ability to work in unstructured environment, have difficult conversations and manage ambiguity 

 

Qualifications & experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources (or equivalent) with at least seven years of relevant experience delivering human resources solutions 2+ years of this spent in a management capacity.
  • Up to date working knowledge of Fair Work legislation and relevant legislation.
  • Proven track record of creating, delivering and exceeding expectations in projects orientated around transformation in the people centric function.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling complex employee issues and providing solutions in line with employment laws and organisational policies.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels of an organisation to achieve and deliver results 
  • Previous experience in an Information Technology/MSP organisation advantageous but not essential.
