Title: Restaurant Manager
Essential: Min 3 years experience and specialty in Asian, Thai, Malaysian, Indian and Middle eastern restaurants as manager.
Salary: Award wage. ($70,000 to $77,000 per year) + superannuation
Qualifications: Diploma in business or management, Bachelor or Management qualifications.
Desirable: Experience in Asian restaurant in Australia and functional English.
Main duties:
• Managing a restaurant’s finances
• Developing menus in conjunction with the head chef and head sommelier keeping in mind budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
• Assigning tasks and coordinating work shifts, timetables and staff leave
• Selecting, hiring and training restaurant staff
• Overseeing the work of kitchen and dining room teams
• Creating work schedules
• Managing inventory and placing orders with suppliers
• Interacting with customers to enhance their dining experiences
• Discussing food preparation issues with Chefs, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
• Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
• Coordinating kitchen staff, and assisting them as required.
• Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations as per food safety procedures
• Assist owner in staff selection and train staff as required.
