The Stirling Arms Hotel is looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join their team based in Guildford.
The Stirling Arms Hotel is a locally owned and operated pub in the heart of the historic town of Guildford, on the doorstep to the Swan Valley.
Comprising a sprawling beer garden, art deco inspired dining room, 300 person band room, the pub focuses on elevated casual food mixing in pub classics with wood fired pizza.
Tasks & Duties:
• Day to day kitchen operations with general food preparation, food service duties
• Assist head chef with the creation of venue recipes and guidelines
• Monitor and train junior kitchen team members on their techniques and performance
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen
• Work alongside other kitchen team members and promote a positive working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety standards outlined by industry regulations and in house policies
• Correctly follow other kitchen related procedures
• Complete your work within a punctual, hygienic and friendly manner
• Contribute to the achievement of Gross Profit targets
Salary and Experience:
1. Relevant commercial cookery qualifications
2. At least 3 years’ experience.
