One of our clients, Exchange House Food Store, is looking for an experienced Chef. Exchange House Food Store is a well-regarded establishment located at 63 Princes Highway, Lucknow, VIC 3875. Situated in the heart of East Gippsland Shire, this food store offers a variety of products and services tailored to meet the needs of the local community. The establishment features both indoor and outdoor seating, accommodating a significant number of customers who visit the store. This setup ensures a comfortable and versatile dining experience for all patrons.
Open daily from early morning to evening, Exchange House Food Store is known for its consistent operating hours, ensuring accessibility for shoppers throughout the week. Despite its central location, the store maintains a reputation for excellent customer service, with a dedicated team ready to assist with various needs, from routine grocery shopping to specific requests?.

Position: Chef
Salary Range: $73,150 to $75,150 plus superannuation
Location: 63 Princes Hwy, Lucknow VIC 3875
Job Type: Permanent position, Full time. Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Becoming proficient in preparing each dish featured on the menu.
2. Innovating and crafting new recipes to enhance the menu selections.
3. Keeping abreast of customer tastes and culinary trends to adjust dishes accordingly.
4. Following detailed cooking instructions and recipes for all signature dishes to ensure exceptional food quality.
5. Organizing and preparing all necessary ingredients and materials for cooking.
6. Overseeing kitchen staff to ensure compliance with operational standards.
7. Providing timely training sessions for kitchen personnel as required.
8. Scheduling and managing all kitchen team members efficiently.
9. Effectively managing the order flow using the docket system.
10. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, ensuring high hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.

To be considered for this role, your key skills, and attributes must include:
1. Holds relevant qualifications with at least two years of experience as a professional Chef.
2. Possesses the relevant Hospitality trade qualifications.
3. Demonstrates the ability to maintain focus under high pressure and lead the team effectively.
4. Experienced in planning menus and managing costs.
5. Must have full working rights in Australia.
