Task & Responsibilities Menu Planning & Cost Estimation : Develop and plan menus, estimate food and labor costs, and manage food supply orders to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence. Collaboration: Discuss food preparation issues with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff, and waiting staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Technique Demonstration: Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on cooking procedures to kitchen staff. Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook food, maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene. Hygiene Enforcement: Explain and enforce hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment. Staff Training & Management: Select and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team. Food Preservation: May be responsible for freezing and preserving foods to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Qualification & Experience Relevant Qualification & Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in an Italian cuisine setting. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, and cost estimation. Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work well in a team, demonstrating leadership and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and safety standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
