You will be working in a small team and assisting supervisors with completing local work.
Your new role
Tasked with the design and execution of layouts, along with the installation, repair, finishing, and upkeep of a variety of structures, fixtures, and edifices
Skilled in designing, sizing, and cutting materials to fit project needs
Proficient in interpreting and following blueprints to ensure accuracy in construction
Providing support to supervisory staff as needed
Performing necessary repairs and installations of doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, staircases, and other fixtures as demanded by the project scope
What you'll need to succeed
Trade Qualification - Carpenter
A minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience
Driver's licence
White card
Contactable references
Forklift licence - desirable
What you'll get in return
If successful in this position, you will be assisted in relocating to a small town called Barcaldine. The salary will be dependent on your skills and experience, starting at $90k + Super. Accommodation will be provided for you for the first 3 months of your contract. This position is working a 9-day fortnight with potential on-call and overtime work. This role is responsible for completing work on residential or commercial buildings, including water connections to troughs and systems, as well as pipework damaged during road construction and maintenance.
