Benefits Annual salary of $74,000 plus superannuation Task & Responsibilities The successful applicant will undertake the following tasks: Prepare, cook, season, portion, plate, garnish and present food Design and prepare speciality Mexican and Peruvian plant-based (and gluten-free) menu items Check and maintain freshness and quality of food and ingredients Coordinate kitchen activities of cooks and other food preparation workers Supervise, provide training, and monitor work of all kitchen staff Plan seasonal menus, document recipes, and cost all dishes Manage stock, inventory including placing orders with suppliers Enforce compliance with all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen area Report on food preparation/cooking/staff issues Assist with kitchen staff selection and the recruitment process Qualification & Experience Relevant qualification(s) and experience with preparing Mexican and Peruvian plant-based (and gluten-free) foods.
