Key Responsibilities Include:
• Inspecting food items to ensure quality.
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances.
• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes.
• Seasoning food to enhance flavours during cooking.
• Portioning food, plating, and garnishing with sauces.
• Using temperature-controlled storage for food preservation.
• Adjusting food preparation for special dietary requirements.
• Overseeing menu development and estimating required food quantities.
• Providing training and guidance to kitchen staff and apprentices.
• Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
• Performing regular cleanliness and sanitation checks in the kitchen.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Must possess an Australian Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Should have (1) one to (2) two years of relevant experience in a similar setting.
Salary:
$68,000 to $73,000 per annum.
