Full job description:
The Continental Hotel in Broome is looking for a Restaurant Manager to help us relaunch
our famous full service Italian restaurant “Johnny Sausage” . Working with the team you will
be responsible for delivering a high level of guest service and an authentic Italian
experience.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work well in a very fast
paced environment. Having worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry,you will be
a team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the management of the daily operations of the restaurant.
• Briefing staff on the operation, including dietary dishes of the day and out of stockitems
• Development and training of staff
• Maintaining high standards of service
• Opening and/or closing of the Venue
• Oversee and allocate staff breaks whilst maintaining wage cost targets
• Processing & reconciling POS, EFT terminals and complete end of day financialreporting
• Attending management briefings and meetings
• Monitor venue ambiance, including lighting, sound/music, venue cleanliness andtablesetups
• Display strong leadership and generate a fun and positive working environment fortherestaurant team
• Administrative duties such as bookings and emails.
Essential skills:
• Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory/management position
• Approved managers certification
• Be able to work in a high-volume, high-pressure environment
• Have a passion for delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction
• Have strong leadership skills
• H&L (POS) Knowledge is highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management and multi-tasking skills
