Job Description:
• Experience using multi-account organisational structures and hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge on at least one of the Cloud preferably Google Cloud.
• Hands-on GCP networking skills (e.g. VPC, subnets, NACL, Transit Gateway, Route tables. Load Balancer, Direct Connect gateway, etc).
• Thorough understanding of networking concepts, especially TCPIP, IP addressing and subnet calculation.
• Solid experience with GCP Security services; IAM (identity, resource, and service control policies, permission boundary, roles, federation, etc.), Security groups, secrets manager, etc.
• Good knowledge of various GCP Integration patterns, GKE (standard and autopilot).
• Infrastructure as a Code and Scripting knowledge.
• Solid hands-on experience with declarative languages, Terraform, Ansible and their capabilities
• Comfortable coding in one or more languages (bash, Golang, Python, Powershell, etc), and use these skills to automate as much as possible.
• Sound knowledge of secure coding practices, and configuration/secrets management
• Solid understanding of CI/CD/CT, GitHub Actions, Codefresh / Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of zero-downtime deployment patterns, Multi regional clusters etc.
• Experience with automated continuous integration testing, including security testing using SAST tools
• Experience in creating runners, docker images
• Comfortable working on large source code repositories in a team environment, and solid expertise with Git and Git workflows, working within mid to large (infra) product development teams
• General / Infrastructure Experience
• Experience with FinOps and cloud ops (DNS, Backups, cost optimisation, capacity management, monitoring/alerting, patch management, etc.)
• Work in a collaborative team to explore business initiatives and solutions
• Build infrastructure using code and follow software engineering best practices
• Utilise knowledge of distributed system design including cloud scalability, communication integration, database, and storage
