Job description:?
• Planning, designing, organising, and overseeing all technological infrastructure of the company including assembly, operation, and maintenance of the equipment.
• Developing manufacturing infrastructure to integrate or deploy new manufacturing processes.
• Preparing layouts, drawings, or sketches of machinery or equipment, such as scale layouts, or new equipment design, using drafting equipment or computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Developing specifications for the production of all products and project for Australian General Engineering; determining the materials to be used, and developing procedures for the efficient use of material, equipment, and labour.
• Supervising the production of products at Australian General Engineering to meet the minimum required quality standards.
• Overseeing and managing the process of fabrication, especially supervising the automation production process.
• Applying statistical methods to analyse resources and workforce utilisation, analysing the operational data to achieve an optimum production efficiency.
• Monitoring the usage of raw material, providing suggestions on how to reduce raw material cost or increase the material usage rate.
• Developing processes to recover, recycle, or reuse waste or scrap materials from manufacturing operations.
• Verifying weights, measurements, counts, and calculations to record results on batch records.
• Ensuring data integrity, creating testing procedures, identifying errors and areas of inefficiency and find solutions to resolve the issue.
• Developing safety procedures and specifications ensuring adherence to safety rules and practices.
Qualifications/Attributes:
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of required qualification.
• Must possess at least minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to perform manual tasks including heavy lifting and dirty/wet work as required.
• A motivated and cooperative team member.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• High-level understanding of manufacturing systems and processes.
Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
