Motorcycle Mechanic

Salary $73 150 - $83 000 per annum
Powerplant Motorcycles is a Multi Franchise Dealership providing Motorcycles and Outdoor Power Equipment to the Esperance Community and the South East of Western Australia. Our Franchises include Honda Motorcycles, Honda Power Equipment,
BRP CanAm, Stihl, Sherco, Hustler and Cub Cadet.
Powerplant Motorcycles features a busy workshop to assemble, service and repair all makes and models of Motorcycles and Outdoor Power Equipment. Powerplant Motorcycles is an authorised repairer for Australia Post and has a contract for repairs in place.
Position Description
Full-time, permanent position
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Scheduled service as per manufacturer’s directions, including oil change, valve adjustments and engine tuning
to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Engine and suspension tuning for competition of-road motorcycles.
• Diagnosis of electrical and mechanical faults in Motorcycles and Power equipment.
• Engine and component removal and repair, engine rebuilding, transmission repair, steering component
replacement and brake component replacement and testing.
• Diagnosis using manufacturer proprietary software provided by several manufacturers.
• Attend breakdowns off-site as required by Australia Post.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles to a high standard to pass vehicle license inspections.
• Attendance at technician training provided by various franchises will be mandatory.
Qualifications and Skills
Suitable trade or at least three years of experience in a similar environment.
Registration or licensing may be required.
Remuneration
$73 150 - $83 000 per annum
4 weeks annual leave, two weeks sick leave.
