Through the creation and usage of complex data analytics and tracking, the Strategic Insights Manager - Web Analytics is responsible for the development of high impact customer insights related to customer behaviours, across our digital platforms within the various loyalty businesses units. Based on these insights and in collaboration with Qantas Group stakeholders, this role is responsible for the identification of opportunities to increase customer engagement and profitability via improvements to our Web experience across the airline loyalty program.
This role will report directly to the Manager Web Analytics, and work closely with Senior Qantas Loyalty Management and the Head of Data Performance & Value Optimisation. This role will form recommendations on key performance outcomes such as airline loyalty member experience and strategy, and group-wide initiatives that impact airline loyalty members.
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Degree-level qualifications, with preference for degrees in applied statistics, Data Science or a related analytical field
• 2+ Years of experience working with Tag Management software (e.g. Adobe DTM, Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager) and data layers
• In-depth understanding of Google Analytics or similar platforms including coding and tag implementation
• Experience with Digital Experimentation Tools (i.e. Optimizely), or a knowledge of testing platforms with a desire and ability to learn
• Previous experience in turning raw data into actionable, value-adding insights and recommendations, with a proven track record of success
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to overlay commercial acumen to developed insights and recommendations
• In-depth product knowledge of Google and Adobe Analytics data collection and administration
• Experience with web programming languages such as html, JavaScript and other frameworks like jQuery especially as it relates to coding analytics tags
• Demonstrate experience with data visualisation tools like Google Data Studio or Tableau
• Proven ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both in verbal and written formats
• Strong capability of managing and prioritising a number of competing tasks for different stakeholders
