We Are Social is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part within the agency, closely collaborating across all departments.

Please note that this is a maternity leave cover position for 12 months starting around March 25, and the role is part-time (3 or 4 days a week).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is designed for someone who is a self-directed learner and is comfortable working on the following deliverables:
Accounts Payable:
- Manage and process supplier invoices, staff expenses, corporate credit cards, Weel account (virtual credit card), and Uber account transactions (around 100 transactions per week).
- Prepare and review WorkBook weekly payment proposals for approval by the Finance Director
- Weekly payment run for international and local suppliers
- Promote We Are Social finance processes, share your knowledge with those around you, and use the expertise available to broaden your own development.
Relationship Management:
- Develop strong relationships across the business
- Contribute to a thriving agency culture
While the specific content of your role is clearly defined, the nature of the demands placed on us by our clients means that this role will evolve over time and needs a ‘can do’ approach.
ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
For this role, we are looking for someone with:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience working in the finance department.
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Naturally process-driven but can also think outside of the box
- Collaborator and good communicator (written and verbal).
- Confidence with IT (especially Excel and any financial software packages).
- Discreet and trustworthy.
- Australian working rights.
