The Opportunity
An outstanding opportunity awaits for a commercially astute, proactive and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Australian sales team to success. Reporting to the General Manager Marketing & Sales Oceania, you'll be responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring delivery of optimum sales and profit, building strong strategic customer relationships, and commercial management of the Enza Zaden customer base and product portfolio throughout Australia.

Other key responsibilities include:
• Development, execution and monitoring of tactical sales plans and implementing regional price strategy.
• Providing leadership and guidance to the Sales Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
• Preparing regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Conduct market analysis to identify potential opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.

About You
You have a sound understanding of how the industry works and with your proven track record in sales, and strategic acumen, you’ll deliver on results and mentor your team to achieve the same. Ideally you’ll be based in Melbourne, however we may consider candidates from other locations depending upon experience.

Our ideal candidate will possess:
• At least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture/Horticulture
• Exceptional sales track record, preferably within the agricultural sector
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed sales team effectively.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and customer database & forecasting tools
• Be able to travel locally, nationally, as well as occasionally internationally (approximately 30% - 50% of the working time)
