Established in 2007, we have 16 years of experience in servicing the expanding Agriculture and Transport sectors whilst adopting the latest engineering and manufacturing techniques. Mechanical engineering technicians are crucial to our mission in producing the highest quality Ute trays, service bodies and transport equipment on the market.
Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you would be responsible for the following:
• Conducting hands-on assembly and testing of prototypes and equipment.
• Performing maintenance and repair tasks on agricultural machinery as needed.
• Collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Interpreting detailed drawings and schematics.
• Maintaining accurate records of engineering data and project progress.
• Assisting in sourcing of materials and components.
• Participating in field testing and data collection activities.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Assembling components by examining connections for correct fit.
• Verifying specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolving assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
• Notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeping equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, and calling for repairs.
• Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintaining supplies in inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Anticipating needed supplies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Proven experience in performing mechanical engineering technical duties within a similar industry
• Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical engineering
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• An ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with excellent communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage and prioritize personal workloads to meet or exceed scheduling targets
Salary
If successful, you will be paid a salary ranging between $70,000 to $90,000 per annum.
