They are looking for a switched-on, CPA/CA qualified Accountant who would like to progress in their career and gain excellent industry experience. They offer excellent training and experience on the job, and you will be reporting to a very hands-on Finance Manager, who will provide great support in your new role. Your new role Your new role is a 12-month fixed-term contract. The key responsibility of this role is to support financial accounting functions and assisting tax functions. You will have a good understanding of financial accounting principles, internal controls and the ability to drill into the details without losing sight of the big picture. Your responsibilities include, but not limited to, month end closing procedures, management accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and adherence to strict timelines. Key duties:
Assist and contribute in various areas of financial accounting functions and end-to-end period end closing tasks as required
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis to minimise age of outstanding variances
Deliver timely and accurate internal management and financial reports
Assist with the preparation of schedules and supporting documents needed for our statutory reporting and tax requirements
Assist with internal and external audits; liaison with auditors, completion of audit requests and work on resolution of audit issues
Participate in system enhancement projects to improve internal control and drive efficiency
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant experience in a similar role of mid to large size organisation (above $200m in turnover)
Supervisory experience is highly desirable
CPA/CA Qualification
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
