About the Opportunity

We are looking for motivated, positive and hardworking individuals to fill a variety of Business Development roles we currently have on offer.  You will work in the Independent Grocery space and be responsible for driving Client market share and category performance through ownership of in store promotional programs and increasing store sales results through opportunity-based selling.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be required to:

• Merchandise our clients’ product range within Independent grocery chains within your assigned area.
• Create point of sale displays, ensuring the product is well-stocked and maintained.
• Complete seasonal planograms when required
• Sell in new products and upsell all promotions
• Check stock levels for stores, liaising with store managers
• Report accurate data upon the completion of each visit

This opportunity will cover Canberra and surrounds. This full time role is 38 hours per week across Monday - Friday, with a competitive salary package including superannuation. In addition, you will either be provided with a company car or alternatively a car allowance. 

About You

• Previous retail sales experience

• Activities can be physically demanding in nature, especially planograms, so you need to be confident with working autonomously to complete these tasks.

Your New Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to assist in business development activities for Leidos products and services in Australia with primary focus on Defence clients. The BDM would work towards identifying, qualifying and capturing new business opportunities and collaborate with the business area for growth of Leidos in Australia .

The key responsibilities: -

• Customer Relationships - Establish and maintain enduring relationships with the clients and stakeholder to qualify and grow the Defence business at Leidos Australia.
• Coordinate customer relationships critical to new business development including partnership development

• Market Analysis - Keep abreast with trends, emerging technologies and competitive threats to develop business development strategies and initiatives.
• Industry Engagement - Participate in Industry events, conferences and meeting to partner and generate leads and promote Leidos offerings and services.
• Identify New Business Opportunities -Identify and qualify opportunities for new business for Leidos, particularly with Service Headquarter minor projects Defence Capability & Sustainment Group for major projects
• Strategic Planning- Provide input into current and long-range business strategies to enhance the Company’s position.
• Process Conformation - Execute the Company’s business capture management processes and provide regular updates on business development activities to the executive leadership team along with customer trends and shifting of market focus.
• Collaboration -Work collaboratively with other Business Development teams, Capture Managers, Technical Experts and delivery teams to build a strong cohesive approach to client proposals.

About the Role (your why)

As our General Manager – Service Delivery Management, you will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver service excellence to our customers in commercially compliant and financially sustainable way. Using your strong influencing skills, you will support your team in driving continual service improvement for our customers across our matrix organisation, championing a security first approach in everything we do. With your in-depth experience of technology services outsourcing, you will be able to represent and advocate for our solutions and offerings in support of in account and new customer growth. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and be able to support our people in all situations and help them in their career development journeys.

What you’ll bring  

• A bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant field or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of senior commercial or sales experience within a complex and multifaceted manage services environment
• Demonstrated experience managing service delivery teams within an outsourcing arrangement
• Strong business acumen
• Excellent customer relationship building and management skills
• Strong influencing and persuasive ability
• Ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
• Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members, normally involving matters between functional areas, other Datacom divisions, customers and the company
• Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties
• Ability to build and lead an effective and high performing team
• Detailed understanding of service management methodologies and processes including the ITIL framework
• Demonstrate experience or acceptable knowledge of industry standards such as; ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ISO 9000

Your New Role

As the Organisational Change Manager you will be responsible for leading the Organisational Change Management (OCM) capability as part of the Leidos project leadership team delivering an enterprise Health Knowledge Management (HKM) System for Defence.  You will be responsible for driving the OCM outcomes and ensuring the delivery of change and communication strategies and plans, together with associated risk and impact assessments.  The OCM Manager will work in collaboration across the project team and with the strategic OCM partner to successfully coordinate and implement change management activities.

A Day In Life

• Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders
• Provide leadership to the OCM team
• Support the Change Impact Assessment process to assess the impact of change, including people, process, technology and systems to determine requirements from current to future state on the business and define how these impacts will be managed
• Coordinate the Business Readiness activities and ensure the schedule is aligned to deliver targeted communication and engagement activities
• Oversee the document deliverables for OCM and ensure consistency and best practice for the approach and process to change management; coordinate the workflow of the key strategic OCM partner
• Utilise the expertise of our partners and advisers to bring in new ideas (automation or tools) to optimise the organisational change management process and clinical change activities
• Provide oversight to the schedule and reporting of OCM Activities.
