We have an opportunity available for a Senior People Advisor to join our Workforce Services team. Within this role you will partner with a dedicated HRBP to support an aligned client group within the business. You will be instrumental in working within a collaborative team to allocate workflow, cases and tasks across the Tier 1 HR service model. You will proactively partner with your client group on all employee matters. There is opportunity for the successful incumbent to have exposure to Employee relations work so an interest or qualification in this area would be highly regarded.

To do this successfully you will:

• Provide end to end HR services including Tier 1 support, case management (including performance management) and coach People Leaders on employee matters.
• Coordinate workflow within the People Advisory and HR Business Processes
• Provide employee centric services in alignment with the  People & Culture Service Delivery Model; assessing and handling query volumes, response times and performance to SLA’s
• Be able to own and resolve colleague and People Leader case escalations
• Build and improve the quality of Tier 0 Knowledge Base Articles and Workday content making sure the content remains current, useful, consistent and accessible
• Adapt an employee experience focussed, continuous improvement practice to improve processes, process documentation and data accuracy.
• Develop excellent working relationships across the P&C team and the broader business at both a people leader and employee level
• Work closely with the Employee Relations and Policy Manager to provide additional support in this space as required

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Law or similar
• Previous experience working in a role within HR service delivery and in HR Service Desk Management

About the Role (your why)

What you’ll do

The Governance, Risk and Compliance Advisor is to act as the subject matter expert and thought leader in establishing, governing, and managing information security activities within Datacom ACT.

Your key responsibilities as a Governance, Risk and Compliance Advisor are:

• Identify, develop and implement Security processes, standards and policies
• Work closely with our internal business units to ensure the application of security controls that meet Datacom and business requirements, and align to the Datacom Information Security Plan
• Work closely with our internal business units and clients to ensure adherence to Information Security Manual (ISM) and The Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
• On-going auditing, monitoring and improvement of security controls, including the development of Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA), System Security Plans (SSP), and Security Risk Management plans (SRMP).
• ISO27K framework and knowledge of building and running an Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Providing guidance, education, and training to ensure adherence and compliance (people, processes, and technology)

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 3 years of experience in information security, audit, assurance, governance, risk or compliance and a sound understanding of information security principles, polices and standards
• The GRC Advisor must have a detailed knowledge of agency specific and Australian Government protective security policy, principles, and minimum standards, and be provided with opportunity to maintain this knowledge
• Some technical knowledge to make informed decisions about business risks from vulnerabilities
• Ideally, you will be industry certified and may even hold a CISSP, CISM, MS or equivalent certifications.
• Experience in developing and administering an information security program (desirable).

About Us 

Online Education Services (OES) is an education provider that partners with universities to provide purposefully designed and highly engaging online programs. This position will be working within OES in association with Queensland University of Technology Online.

QUT Online delivers world-class learning though degrees specifically designed for the online student. Each degree is tailored to provide opportunities for students who are often unable to undertake university studies on campus.

At QUT Online, the student is at the forefront of everything we do. This role is an opportunity to support and guide our students through their learning journey. Our Online Learning Advisers (OLAs) are the subject matter experts who facilitate the student’s learning, with a focus on helping them achieve their goals.

What You Will Do

Our OLAs are responsible for the following:

• Providing an exceptional student experience through the delivery of academic content developed by our partner academics and our learning design team 
• Facilitating learning activities that engage and support student learning 
• Undertaking assessment tasks (including moderation, marking, and feedback) as well as processing and submitting results according to set timelines 

Online Learning Advisers are not required to establish curriculum, design learning activities, schedule learning and teaching, set assessments or develop marking schemes.

Who Are We Looking For? 

We are looking for OLAs to teach units within our Gerontology (Healthy Ageing) discipline. 

We are specifically looking for candidates who have experience with interprofessional models of care to support healthy ageing.

Must have current AHPRA registration 

• Minimum Masters Qualification in Gerontology/Aged Care
• 5 + years industry experience specifically in working in the aged care sector, as well as involvement in developing strategic plans to support healthy ageing.
• Knowledge of the Australian education system or ability to acquire this in timely manner
• High level of spoken and written English.
• You are motivated by student success and passionate about online learning
• You are a passionate and clear communicator 
• You have strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and positive online presence 
• You are proactive and organised
• You thrive in a remote working environment
