Tasks and Responsibilities:

• You lead the commissioning activities of the boiler and combustion elements for HZI and ensure works are executed in accordance with contract requirements, and conform with the approved drawings and standards, project time and budget
• You supervise and check the commissioning works being performed by the contractor in respect of timescales, HSEQ and compliance with the approved drawings and standards
• You lead by example regarding HSEQ;  actively encouraging and leading the HZI and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements
• You are responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under your supervision, eliminating / mitigating hazards, stopping works where HSE instructions might be compromised
• You liaise and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders (project team members, commissioning manager, erection supervisors, HSE, commercial counterparts, engineering, sub-contractors, suppliers etc.)
• You ensure sub-contractors are co-ordinated with other site works, material and all other requirements are in place in order for them to efficiently perform required tasks.
• You complete required tests on site as required by the functional description of the plant and or equipment
• Interface with 3rd parties and external bodies as necessary

Sodexo plays a critical role in ensuring the resource sector can operate by providing quality catering, hospitality, and facilities maintenance services.

We have an opening for an experienced HSE Lead to join our Project Teams in a role that is permanent, full time based- Monday to Friday. The role will be based out of our office in Balcatta but will require regular travel to our remote sites in the Pilbara.

Our Projects team consists of both capital and minor work scopes that are carried out by a team of sub-contractors. Our HSE Lead will oversee a team of HSE Specialists. You will get to use your experience in past HSE management environments to lead, shape and drive a high performing team of committed safety professionals.

To be successful in this role, you will need a background or experience working in the facilities management and/or construction industry. Previous FIFO experience or working in remote environment would be desirable- but not essential.

• Influence site management on HSEQ policies to ensure risk management is a value conveyed to all personnel;
• Focus on the risk management culture of the organisation through effective evaluating leadership and elimination of inconsistent practices;
• Promote Our Safety Culture, setting high standards, communicating openly, confronting risk and involving the workforce;
• Assess competency training risk profiles against company and industry standards;

• Review the implementation of operational activities within the HSEQ Management Plan;
• Determine the risk category of incidents with relevant stakeholders, determining the category of investigation required;

As a Talent Development Lead, you will consult with Business and Employee Experiences leaders to own the design and implementation of initiatives that have a real impact on advancing Adobe’s talent capabilities in our diverse region.

About this opportunity

We specialise in the manufacture and supply of rigid plastic and metal packaging servicing for the consumer and industrial sectors.

We are currently seeking a Health Safety, Environment and Sustainability Lead to provide oversight and drive consistent implementation of HSES systems across PACT’s Blacktown plastic packaging manufacturing site to ensure the organisation meets its legal and ethical obligation to provide a safe workplace.

As a HSES Leader on site, you will provide a connection between the Site and Group level activities and will champion and monitor implementation of the Group HSES System (Policy, Procedures and tools), including communicating with Site Management and conducting inspections and audits.

 You will support and drive the assessment and recommendations to improve controls of all site hazardous and high-risk activities as well as provide oversight of critical incidents and support the Site with incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action closure. This includes the investigation of incidents that affect health, pollution, contamination and waste management. 

Supporting the sites Injury Management Processes as well as preparation of Health, Safety and environmental reports will form a part of your remit as well as driving activities with external regulatory bodies (such as Safework and EPA) and providing recommendations of continuous improvement for the Group HSES System. 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

•  Provide oversight of health, safety and environmental incidents and supporting sites with incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action close out
• Monitor and drive activities with external regulatory bodies (such as WorkSafe and EPA) and providing recommendations of continuous improvement for the Group HSES System 
• Plan and implement environmental, health and safety programmes.
• Identify common environment, health and safety hazards inherent at the site and establish guidelines for the control of hazards.
