Lumapixel is seeking a person to join our motivated and growing team as a mid-level post-production editor with some experience with motion graphics. Ideally, a strong editor who understands how to work with graphics rather than the other way around.
We are searching for creative souls, who have a knack for finding and shaping stories no matter the source material, and knows how to deliver when it matters; you’ll likely fit in well if you’re a bit of a film and media geek as you’ll be joining a talented team of like-minded individuals.
This mid-level position is ideal for someone who is organised and genuinely cares about project outcomes. You will need the communication skills to take a brief and workshop ideas with clients, the ability to amplify a visual treatment, and the ability to dish up a beautiful execution with a pinch of magic.
You will be joining an end-to-end video production agency with the responsibility to be self-directed and keep projects in post-production on track and on time by supporting the creative director, producers, and senior editors/animators.
Your ability to stay calm under pressure whilst delivering creatively and at the same time liaise with clients and importantly internal stakeholders will see you flourish in this role.

Position
This is a multimedia specialist position for someone with diverse and flexible skillets in multimedia. At its core it is a mid-level editing position in a boutique creative production agency with the responsibility to manage creative workloads, deliver on creative briefs, meet commercial deadlines, and creatively design/collaboratively ideate on concepts for new projects. Keeping projects in post-production on track and on time by supporting the creative director, art director, and producers with multimedia projects.

The Role
This role works across a range of project types including branded content, corporate communications, TV commercials, events, online social media marketing, animated explainers, and motion graphics/typography.The successful candidate will work closely with our creative production team, and conceptual collaboration is highly valued in all areas of our business. Your work will be in post-production but we value versatile assets in the business so an interest of qualifications in directing, concept design, location production, and photography are all pluses.
Overview of Position Duties:
? Ability to manage creative workloads, take and deliver on creative briefs and meet commercial deadlines.
? Meet with clients and workshop ideas in a collaborative and creative manner
? Effective communication to work with our creative production team
? Conceptual collaboration through all areas of the business, through creative design on concepts for new projects
? Manage projects in post-production and ensure they are on time, collaborating with creative director, art director and producers
? Ability to self-direct projects
? Design and develop digital images, audio and clips
? Using multimedia software tools such as:
? Adobe Creative Suite – high proficiency level in Adobe Premiere
? Adobe After Effects + Boujou Motion Tracking
? Teamwork Projects
? Bubble.io + Glide.io
? AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Duet, Genesis)
? Working with network specialists to manage online media
? Be involved with analysing digital methodologies and strategies along with development plans

Qualifications and Experience:
? Minimum 5 years industry experience and a history of agency experience and a relevant bachelor degree or higher
? Minimum 4 years video editing
? Ideally, familiarity with motion design practices such as:
? Motion tracking
? Masking and mattes
? Speed ramping
? Motion stabilising footage
? Multi-layer and multi-nest sequences
? Knowledge of video formats and codecs
? Working competency in colour correction and colour grading (Adobe and Davinci Resolve)
? Developing and interpreting briefs and creative treatments
? Post Production Team Management experience (mid-level position)
? Project Management (mid-level position)
? Technical troubleshooting & problem solving background with operating systems and software bugs and conflicts (A nice to have)
Skills
? High level of proficiency with Adobe CC Suite (Particularly Premiere Pro)
? Low/Medium level of proficiency with After Effects for comps/exports
? Detailed technical knowledge eg file formats, codecs, post-production workflows/pipelines, hardware and devices etc
? Eye for design composition + edit choices
? Strong organisation skills
? Ability to interpret feedback effectively and use lateral thinking for problem-solving
? Superb communication, both verbal and written

Salary: $72,500 per year including superannuation guarantee. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
