About the Role

The purpose of this role is to plan, coordinate, and execute Engineering activities / projects in the wider manufacturing environment. The Operations Engineer will protect and promote the flow of materials and relevant information aiming at uninterrupted operations. The main responsibilities are broad allowing objectives covering Health and Safety, Quality & Compliance, Delivery and Customer Service as well as Cost and Financial Performance to be achieved.

The Operations Engineer will continuously monitor and review production performance and offer activities / projects to eliminate Wastes or MUDAs. As a result, you will work closely with production and maintenance leaders and their teams.

Being expert in the constraints of technology and work processes on the production floor, you will also work closely with the Product Development team being the voice of production to achieve the best Design for Manufacture and Assembly of new products to be introduced.

The Operations Engineer will be familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and processes with a command of Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving (6Sigma) and Project Management techniques. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, combined with self-starter and team player attributes.

Some of your key duties will include:

• Prioritise and carry out maintenance as requested to ensure the smooth running of the hotel operation.
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.
• Carry out general repairs and maintenance to the property.
• Be aware and comply with any state/federal legislative and company policy/compliance obligations that may relate to your department.
• Support the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting etc. on a routine basis as required by local Council and Fire Service.
• Support and liaise with any contractors within the hotel ensuring their work is to the standard required by the company and manufacturer specifications
• Co-ordinate, action and minimise energy and/or water conservation or waste costs
• Ensure the workshop has adequate and working stock and materials and is kept neat and tidy.
• Maintain and audit all workshop tools and equipment to ensure sufficient running of trade and functions.
• Ensure the external areas of the hotel are neat and tidy and maintained in line with company brand standards.
• Maintain gym equipment in safe working order according to manufacturer specifications.
• Any other requests from by the Chief Engineer and/or their designate.

We are looking for a data driven Reliability Engineer to join the team at our Aquila mine site in Middlemount, QLD. Aquila Mine is an underground hard coking coal mine, which will extend the life of Anglo American’s existing Capcoal underground operations til 2030. As the largest underground coal miner in Australia, we are leveraging the innovative work already under way at our existing mine sites and scaling the development of new technologies in our operations.

The Reliability Engineer monitors maintenance systems and standards in order for the Engineering and Maintenance Department to predictably deliver and sustain the required asset performance and cost objectives.

Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading reliability improvement in the engineering and maintenance team. You will analyse the performance of all operating assets and deliver long term asset improvement.
• Be accountable for reviewing the maintenance strategies, recommending modifications, and supporting the maintenance team as required for major projects.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, a maintenance employee forms a critical part of the restaurant team. Rentokil is looking for a motivated organized Service Planner for our Hygiene Division with strong administrative and communication skills to join the team based in Tullamarine - Melbourne on a full-time basis.

The core responsibilities in this role include:

• Organization and scheduling of regular field service activities
• Ensuring all Service Technician visits are loaded within set time frames and variances from divisional expectations are reported to your line Manager
• Ensure zones are regularly revised to ensure capacity, location, and sequence are the best fit for the operation in a holistic view to ensure a productive service zone for the technicians

• Make all necessary escalations to Local Service Managers and Operations Managers as required for the provision of quality service to our customers

The Purpose

The primary purpose of the position is to be part of a dynamic team that is responsible to implement, automate, support and maintain all environments that are expected to operate on a 24x7 basis.

Performing and coordinating the implementation, ongoing engineering and maintenance/upgrading of a multi-platform environment with strong focus on Linux (Red Hat), VMware ESXi, Databases (Oracle SQL), SAN Storage (NFS) and various network services in a hybrid cloud environment.

The role reports directly to the Head of Reliability and Infrastructure and/or delegates. They will work and collaborate closely with the engineers within the team and other business units within the division. The role also includes responsibilities to assist with conducting technical reviews for new and ongoing tactical and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure SLA, SLE and SLO are met in a 24x7 environment. Required participation to an on-call roster
• Manage, maintain Red Hat Linux and Red Hat Ansible and Satellite Servers
• Operating System hardening based on recommendation by the Centre for Internet Security (CIS)
• Develop scripts, Ansible playbook ( Bash or Python ) and API calls for automating system administration and other repeatable tasks
• Manage and maintain network services such as Mail, DNS, NTP, Firewalld and F5 Load Balancer
• Generate system health related reports, manage and maintain monitoring, alerting and reporting systems such as Splunk, Dynatrace and Wazuh
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot and staying up to date with licensing, subscriptions, versions and features and making sure all are compliant
• Implement security best practice, perform regular audits, patches and updates
• Monitor performance and identify bottleneck and optimise system resources such as disk utilisations
• Diagnose and resolve issues not limited to hardware, network to application level
• Ensure robust data integrity protection and availability with filesystem snapshot (such as LVM and VM snapshot) log shipping, replication and backup and recovery strategies
• Understand the principle of secure authentication, access control and multi factor authorisation as well as encryption technologies used in protocols such TLS and HTTPS and certificates.
• Complete all role requirements relating to development, implementation and maintenance of IT systems in accordance with the AP+’s information security policies and procedures as directed by the Head of Reliability and Infrastructure and/or delegates.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Really knows how to get the best out of external partners & stakeholders, delivering value for money & monitoring their value-add.
• Manage third-party relationships including agency relationships (creative, media, research, PR) and participant/ member marketing teams.

Position Requirements

Qualification:

• Red Hat Certification, such as RHCE, would be highly desirable

• Scripting and code programming. Ideally Bash and Python in a Linux platform

Day to day you will:

• Provide initial support to Control Room systems, including MOSART, VIZ Graphics,   VSM and Dante

A maintenance employee is primarily focused on cleanliness of the restaurant (internally and externally) and preparing the restaurant for trade each day.
