The Nine Publishing Technology team build and maintain some of the most highly respected and visited websites and mobile apps in Australia, including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Australian Financial Review, as well as their content management systems, services and middleware.
You'll be working as apart of the Nine Web team, who are responsible for Nine.com.au, Wide World of Sports (WWOS), 9Honey, and many more.
You'll contribute to upcoming re-platforming work, aiming at improving the digital experiences we deliver to our audience. This is apart of an overall shift in technology aimed at improving customer experience - we are looking to standardise the approach across different sites.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Crafting world-class high performance high availability web applications & interfaces
- Writing high quality TypeScript / ReactJS / Node.js / Styled Components, and mentor the broader technical team around best practice,
- Working in small autonomous Agile squads, taking ownership of asects of the product or key deliverables as apart of a sprint.
- Building the next generation news experience for a huge audience
