Overview of Position

Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and improvements of a wide range of electrical systems, equipment and instruments within the plant and managing the integrity of the Instrument, PCS, HMI, and PLC control systems.

Key Accountabilities

? Manage the plant instrument systems, including hardware, software, and communication systems.

• Ensures professional coordination and meticulous account planning while swiftly resolving any potential account ownership issues.

• Provides continual support to customers, ensuring they receive top-notch, high-quality customer service and may also assist in providing quotes.

• Monitors industry trends and evolving regulations to maintain competitiveness and compliance, providing technical and commercial support to both internal and external sales teams.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or suitable combination of education and experience.

2. 10 plus years’ experience in core field construction / equipment selection experience required.

3. Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.

4. Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.

5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

7. Team player that’s reliable and enjoys working in a high-performance team culture.

8. Basic knowledge in any of the technical 3D software like Autodesk Inventor / PRO-E/ Catia / Solid works. Ability to read and interpret drawings.

About the role Thiess is seeking CHPP Electricians at our Lake Vermont Mine near Dysart. We are currently seeking: CHPP Maintenance Electricians – day shift only Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Supervisor or CHPP Superintendent, this role will see you maintaining all areas of the Coal Handling Preparation Plant in line with the production and maintenance schedules.  This role is a permanent position that will see you working 12.25-hour 7 days 7 days off (Wednesday-Tuesday). Full camp facilities are available and bus transportation is provided from Mackay or Rockhampton to the Dysart Camp. Requirements Current QLD Electrical Licence Low Voltage Rescue – for Electricians Previous or current experience working within the fixed plant environment Current EEHA and HV competencies will be highly regarded Current Standard 11 Statement of Attainment High commitment to a positive safety culture Benefits Annual salary $133,837 - $144,116 (excl. Duties
• Aircrafts engineering Maintenance 95%.
• Facility engineering Maintenance 5%.
• Perform inspection, rectification, maintenance, and certification on company aircraft and equipment, as per manufacturer /company’s specifications to a very high standard.
• Ensuring timely and correct certification of all work carried out.
• Complying with the company’s Safety Management System.
• Maintain close working relationship with Chief Engineer or his deputy.
• Ensure all work is performed to the appropriate standard.
• Ensure all work is performed using safe work practices and observe WHS requirements.
• Work the nominated periods along with some overtime when required.
• Maintain appropriate approvals as required by the authority.
• Comply with all relevant FTA policies and CASA regulations.

Qualifications and experience

Essential
• Hold a B1.2 CASA Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• CASA license for either/both engine and airframe categories.
• Have Proven Experience in the GA Industry
• Hold a valid Driver’s License
• Hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card or be able to obtain one
• Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia
• Desirable
• Experience with Garmin 1000
• Good work skills and sound work practices
• Good work ethic and willing team player.
• Physical demand:
• The ability to lift 2/10/15 kg regularly
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 10 kg
• The ability to work in extreme weather
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
