Technician - Field Service

The Opportunity: Due to significant growth, Komatsu is seeking multiple trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics (or similar) to become a part of the Service Department in Townsville, Bowen, Collinsville, Queensland. Working as a Field Service Technician you will get the benefit of a true even time roster (7/7) as well as the ability to travel to and from site in a Komatsu supplied vehicle. Your role will vary day to day in support of construction and quarry customers throughout North Queensland to mining fleets in the Bowen basin. The role acts as a conduit between the customer, customer support team and the branch.   This position offers an immediate start within a high-performing team for the right candidates!Key responsibilities:Performing services, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on a range of Komatsu mobile equipmentMaintaining high levels of safety, quality and efficiencyTesting and adjusting of machine operation and monitoring systems (utilising relevant literature and testing equipment)Coordinating site-based equipment maintenance projects (in particular, coordinating job packet requirements, following job scope and critical path)Generating required technical/service reports (such as service reports and TSI & warranty claim processes)Roster:7/7Annualised Wages: $106 000 - $110 000 plus allowances and fully maintained Komatsu vehicleRole Located: Townsville & Surrounds Komatsu benefits:Families Policy: 16 weeks of paid primary carer parental leave, 4 weeks of secondary carer leave, plus many more family friendly benefitsFinancial: Company funded Income Protection Insurance Career: Recognition, awards, flexibility, further education studies and internal career developmentHealth: Corporate discount with Bupa, Total Wellbeing Solution with Telus HealthTravel: Discounts with Avis, Qantas, Crown, IHG and travel agentsReferral Program: $3000 referral payment for referring a successful new employee to KomatsuAdditional Benefits:At Komatsu we have proven career pathways into a variety of exciting fields.
