As Afterpay’s Dispute Resolutions Specialist, you’ll handle and resolve customer and merchant disputes in a fair, transparent and timely manner. The successful candidate will be the key point of contact within our Customer Service team for all escalated disputes and will be closely involved in the complaint lifecycle from escalation, to IDR and EDR.

Public Sector and Life Sciences. QR_ is currently expending its activity in Australia and we are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne team.

• Complete structural systems design for naval ship systems

• Perform technical investigations, root cause analysis and solution identification

• Undertake Structural Engineering tasks such as first principle structural calculations and Finite Element Analysis

• Create Technical reports/documentation based as per client requirements

• Management of minor to moderate projects, with competing priorities

• Main areas of focus: o Hull structure (primary and secondary members, global and local assessments);

• Equipment foundations (major and minor); o
• Shock, noise and vibration.

Must haves:

Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Desirable: Naval Architecture / Structural / Aeronautical);

• 8+ years of experience in similar roles

• Proven skills and experience in a Structure and/or Naval Architecture function

• Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance • Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) packages

• Proficiency in FEA software packages

Nice to have:

• Experience in the Naval Defence industry

• Baseline Clearance • Proficiency in fundamental and complex structural analyses (static strength, stiffness, natural frequency, noise, vibration, shock, buckling, fatigue etc.)

• Proficiency in analysing bolted and welded connections

• Proficiency in Finite Element Modelling and Analysis, particularly ANSYS

• Proficiency in Whole of Ship assessments, particularly longitudinal strength

• Experience using SpaceClaim and MicroStation CAD packages

• Experience in ANSYS software package

This role will be based in Melbourne (ideally) but open to consider candidates in Sydney or Brisbane.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all projects are delivered using a ‘best-practice’ Project Delivery Approach and are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
• Team Leading blueAPACHE’s 6 Project Managers and managing a number of projects/programmes directly
• Overseeing all client projects, providing expert knowledge and support, monitoring progress and reporting on the portfolio status
• Delivering to the Head of Professional Services Strategic plan re; the re-development, re-introduction and on-going iteration and maturing of blueAPACHE’s Project Delivery Approach
• Govern the Project Management process ensuring that for each project, all relevant project artefacts are created and utilised, such as risk and issues register, project schedule, status reports, project charter, stakeholder mapping, communications plan, etc.
• Track project benefits realisation and lessons learnt activities to feed into on-going improvements.

Requirements

• Thought leader with a view to creating a viable PMO service and supporting pragmatic delivery of projects
• Recognised formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP/Prince2/P30 or equivalent) is desirable
