Moderna is looking for a Manager of Warehouse Operations Leader for our Melbourne site. This crucial role involves overseeing all warehouse operations, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouse operations, contributing significantly to our supply chain excellence.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Within 3 Months, You Will…
Familiarize yourself with Moderna’s warehouse operations and team dynamics.
Begin leading the warehouse staff, focusing on recruitment, orientation, and training.
Start implementing and overseeing security procedures and protocols for warehouse operations.
Oversee the warehouse's physical condition, inspect equipment, and initiate maintenance or replacement requests.
Within 6 Months, You Will…
Supervise warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient execution of inbound and outbound operations.
Support the Supply Chain leadership in enhancing daily processes and shipping applications.
Comply with and enforce cGMP, federal, state, and local shipping regulations, including DOT and IATA.
Act as the lead for Technical Transfer in Distribution and Cold Chain operations.
Within 12 Months, You Will…
Ensure the proper implementation and adherence to Moderna’s Quality Policy and Quality Management System.
Collaborate with trade compliance to align processes with import and export regulations.
Oversee quality events, implementing preventive and corrective actions to maintain inventory management policies.
Continuously develop your professional and technical knowledge, contributing to the team's success and ensuring goals are met on budget and on schedule.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Education: University degree in technology, engineering, or management/business administration
Experience: 8-10 years (BS) or 5-8 years (MS) in various Distribution/Logistics functions and Supply Chain
Strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience. Experience working in a cGMP and cGDP environment.
Good understanding of the Pharma industry & its different Supply Chain areas
Experience and proficient knowledge of project management, risk management methodologies and monitoring techniques
Experience and knowledge of cold chain technology, tools, shipping validation and distribution.
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively collaborate and communicate with senior CMC Management in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
APICS certification (Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)) is a plus
Well organized – a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate and conduct your work
You drive for results and demonstrate the ability to develop solutions. You love what you do, and it shows
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
