Key responsibilities:

Provide support to the Surgical Sales team in relation to the IOL consignment management process, ensuring that scheduled counts are completed on time and customer inventory is fully reconciled for billing and traceability purposes.

• Manage the consignment agreement register to ensure consignment holding are held in facilities with valid agreements in place
• Create new consignment agreements for new and existing customers
• Manage contract storage in accordance with legal and compliance guidelines
• Work with regional consignment on roll out of new technology and in field consignment managing tools to ensure compliance with ANZ processes
• Attend tender review meetings for tender agreements requiring consignment holdings and draft required documentation for tender submission relating to consignment
• Attend key account review meetings to align consignment holdings in accordance with the consignment agreements.
• Facilite customer review meetings with Legal and Compliance when required to align customer specific consignment agreements with Alcon global requirements
• Complete monthly reconciliation of in field audit findings and investigate discrepancies (missing and additional items) utilising 3PL ERP system

• Manage the removal of any excess, short-dated or expired inventory for return to 3PL warehouse
• Monthly report on metrics associated with consignment management process (e.g. on time completion of counts, percentage accuracy of counts) to management team
• Generate and update reports to track movements and status of consigned goods
• Liase with external (3PL) and internal (customer service, sales team) customers to resolve discrepancies
• Facilite monthly consignment review meetings with senior management to review consignment KPI’s and stock holdings in field
• Facilite quarterly consignment governance review meetings with senior and regional management to align Customer Operations and Commercial requirements for consignment
• Manage and present Consignment Dashboards with internal stakeholders
• Regional monthly presentations showing consignment reduction progress and overall performance.
• Work with marketing on product launches and key projects relating to consignment
• Work with customer services team and logistics to resolve any consignment related issues
• Evaluate requests related to Top Up approvals
• Monitor consignment levels and collaborate with sales team to ensure stock availability
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of consigned inventory and audits.   
• Engage and assets risks related to projects and meet deadlines
• AFCM controls to review audit completion and accuracy
• Monthly write off evaluation and process
• Data review to ensure compliance with SAP and MA360
• Visit customer facilities to perform audits of IOl consignment inventory
• Complete initial investigation of any count discrepances while on site (e.g. missing items that may have been implanted)
• Provide training to infield and internal parties on changes to consignment

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Histology Manager. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the Histology laboratory including but not limited to operational management, quality assurance, staffing, workflows, time management, technician training, equipment maintenance, vendor agreements and more.  You will be a LEAN advocate and ensure the laboratory follows all LEAN principles.

• Train new team members in LEAN practices, time management, and prioritisation.

• Participate in the safety training program of the company and makes certain that staff are properly trained. 
• Expand the laboratory portfolio by helping to develop new research projects and proposals.

Requirements

• Tertiary Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Histology laboratory.
• Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience required.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workflow to meet the company’s and client requirements.
• Experience with purchasing and consumable levels within agreed budgets
• Ability to consistently maintain compliance with Histopath’s standard operating procedures at all times.

The Opportunity

Come and discover how COLORBOND® steel is produced, this is an exciting opportunity to join our Metal Coating Department at our Springhill Manufacturing facility as a Process Technical Engineer. As part of the broader Manufacturing Portfolio at our Port Kembla steelworks, we have facilities including Springhill, where we produce COLORBOND® steel and other products for our customers.  

The Metal Coating Lines (MCL) manufactures and supplies metal coated products for building, pre-painted, distribution and manufacturing applications. As the Process Technical Engineer, you’ll provide technical support to the ZINCALUME® lines and services, by overseeing the product quality and output, and ensuring they meet customer requirements.

In this essential role, you will grow and develop both technically and as a leader, focusing on working closely with the shift teams on the continuous production, reliability and quality of our products. What Will You Do?

Working closely with operators and Process Leaders to manage product output, whilst building effective relationships, both internally and externally, you will:

• support product quality through process improvements and ensuring product standards
• foster teamwork between shift operations, technical, process development and maintenance
• coordinate development strategies for improved process control
• provide technical support on MCL ZINCALUME® lines and striving for business improvements and manufacturing excellence
• coach, mentor and develop the team to enhance capabilities

With your technical experience and ability to make calculated decisions while working in a fast-paced environment, you will bring:

• tertiary qualifications in engineering (ie. Chemical, materials, mechanical etc.)
• experience working in a similar heavy industry - operational, process, or technical environment

About the role

The Brand Manager for Dry Eye and Ocular Health has responsibility for the successful execution of approved marketing plans and through this, the achievement of sales and market share goals for the Dry Eye portfolio.

The Brand Manager is responsible for ensuring annual marketing budgets are adhered to and in ensuring activities are appropriately resourced and costed before implementation and for ensuring internal approval policies are adhered to.    

The Brand Manager is accountable for contributing to the development and implementation of the Company’s marketing plans.  This involves the preparation of a range of analytical information and informative documents and ensuring appropriate internal and external consultations have taken place within the Company. 

Specific activities include:

• Facilitate the development and internal review of promotional and point of sale material for the product portfolio with internal and external stakeholders

• Implementation and management of media plans which includes liaising with agencies or publications directly to secure advertisements for publications.  Preparation of advertising, media releases and editorial contribution or a variety of publications and support of customer specific promotions where necessary.

• Monthly review of expenditure reporting and expense management of the product portfolio. 

• Monthly review of materials management forecasts to ensure appropriate inventory management to facilitate customer supply whilst ensuring appropriate financial management.

• Management of a cross functional team to ensure execution of brand initiatives, response to customer needs and communication of needs for the brand across the organisation. 

• Management of the day to day activities of the product portfolio including efficient and effective response to internal and external customer needs and to the needs of suppliers.

• Learn and be able to execute all required Alcon systems and process to enable the support and execution of brand plans and activity

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce or Science

Experience requirements                                         

• >3 years experience in marketing management positions within consumer health / pharmaceutical / med device regulated environment

• Experience in both direct to consumer & healthcare professional marketing.

• Prior experience in product launches.

Preferred:

• Strong technical/clinical understanding of the eye and ideally the ophthalmic Vision Care business.
