Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking experienced Scrub Scouts to join our Team with Full-time on a Fulltime & Part-time basis. Work to suit your lifestyle with flexible rostering and a supportive Perioperative team. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided. About us Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit. We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge. As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
Act as a role model for Safe Practice
Essential Criteria:
Minimum 2 years' RN experience in Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nursing
Authority to Work in Australia
Valid NSW Working with Children check
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
Desirable Criteria
· Obtained Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024, a salary ranging from $ 35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
