These positions will lead the scientific aspects of the Geological Survey’s mission as custodian of the state’s geological knowledge and in improving our understanding of the state’s geological evolution and mineral systems. We are looking for three exceptional candidates in the following specialisations: Statewide Geology, Geophysics, and Mineral Systems. You will provide scientific leadership in your respective field in enhancing the understanding of the state’s geology and mineral prospectivity, particularly via the application of new and innovative ways in data acquisition, data interpretation and synthesis, and in disseminating the results to our diverse stakeholders. You will also mentor and foster our talented staff, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and the building of resilience and depth in the Survey scientific and technical capacities. You will also collaborate and liaise with other government and university research organisations to maximise the benefits of scientific collaboration.
