About the role:

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our us and support a broad team of qualified technical consultants responsible for design and documentation. This role covers Mechanical building service systems and provides support in areas of commissioning and operations. Supporting in procedural and process management as well as analytical coordination with peering groups covering Property Management, Project Management and HSE.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate across Engineering, Construction, Facilities, and ICT groups to ensure delivery and operations of optimised data center solutions, services and functionality, therefore facilitating growth and scalability of our core business.
• Perform mechanical engineering design which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects.
• Perform calculations to analyze and design mechanical system components.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of mechanical systems and materials.
• Contribute to the development of mechanical systems, through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents and client presentations pertaining to specific project deliverables.
• Deliver tender and For Construction design documentation with assistance from consultants.
• Ensure all mechanical system architectures are designed in accordance with industry best practice method being applied for industrial controls systems adopted within critical infrastructure & utility environments.
• Assist in the new projects and upgrade activities, through lifecycle management, ensuring continual resilience and accuracy of data center system control platforms.
• Work in collaboration with internal business verticals including Operational Site Management teams and Technology teams to ensure all generational improvement, enhancement and training deliver optimised and functional outcomes.
• Work diversely as a key part of a small but highly professional broader CDC team to positively build upon the
• culture and capabilities of our collective.

• Other duties as directed from time to time.

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline, preferably with data center or industrial buildings experience. 4 - 6 years' experience in engineering consultancy
• Knowledge of building services design installation and operation.
• Ability to document engineering principles via drawing and specifications.
• Display key personal qualities including the ability to work remotely, be a team player and exhibit excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Display a strong commitment to customer service with a focus on deliverables.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, in particular).
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Navisworks, REVIT or similar CAD programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Essential:

• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain, an NV1 Security Clearance

Reporting into our Head of Service, you will work in a team alongside our Junior Accountants and Snr. Accountants to support a portfolio of small business customers to ensure they have set their finances up for success. You will be responsible for overseeing the work completed by our Junior Accountants alongside other key statutory requirements and compliance/management reporting. You're passionate about your work and understand the significant impact that timely and relevant financial insights can have on the growth and success of small business. You’re an experienced accountant, ideally in public practice who genuinely cares about seeing their clients succeed and is looking for a role where your proactive, client first attitude is recognised and rewarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing accounting work completed by our Junior Accountants
• Preparation of statutory lodgements (BAS, GST, payroll tax etc)
• Preparation of monthly management reports and financial insights
• Preparation of all periodic tax returns and compliance reporting
• Supporting our Senior Accountants with key business performance metrics
• Ensuring our clients have an exceptional experience in every interaction with you

Requirements

• Degree qualification with minimum 2 years’ experience in a public practice environment
• CPA or CA qualified or working towards qualification
• Proficiency in Xero and Xero payroll
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
• Ideally experienced in managing a portfolio of clients
• Great written and verbal communication skills. This role will require a high level of verbal communication with your peers, Leadership and clients
• Enjoy working in a small but growing team, focused on delivering to their clients

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will generate and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers, producing quality leads, booking meetings and creating sales opportunities for Phocas Account Executives.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Ability to adapt and maintain a high level of productivity and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Curiosity to stay current with Phocas software, system information, new features/enhancements and product offerings.
• 1+ year/s of new business development experience, ideally with software-based solutions and B2B environment.
• Proven sales abilities with track record of over-achieving targets , and experience working with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Ability to listen and apply new learnings and the willingness to learn tools and workflows that will help generate leads.

What you’ll do to grow fast and have fun:

• Lead inbound & outbound prospecting efforts through various channels such as email, phone, social media and CRM (HubSpot).
• Proactively engage prospective customers who meet our target profile.
• Articulate the Phocas business value proposition to decision makers, evaluating their use case, purchase time frames, pain/gain points and assess buying interest.
• Collaborate with relevant partners to generate quality leads from their customer base.
• Coordinate introductory conversations and sales demo/ presentations with Account Executives and where possible participate to inform, educate and help close deals.
