Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct the successful integration and the test of incremental software releases for systems and/or subsystems, in accordance with the schedule set by the Technical Leads and PM
• Manage and/or contribute to the setup of environments to facilitate the integration, testing and acceptance activities required by the program. Provide instruction on the setup of environments to support validation activities.
• Define and/or contribute to testing activities across multiple platforms (regression, interface, simulation scenarios and test tools) to support project milestones and deadlines
• Able to analyse System/Subsystem technical and functional issues, ensuring they are identified early, captured fully and logged according to internal processes.
• To collaborate with System, Subsystem and Infrastructure teams to ensure that the integration activities are in line with the design and specification

About the role

The Role

Based at our Port Melbourne site, we have an excellent opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join the Chemistry team.

Reporting to the Section Manager Chemistry, the purpose of this role is to perform laboratory tests on chemicals, analyse test data and carry out technical functions in support of a wide variety of foods.

Our Port Melbourne site is not only the home of Vegemite it is also the home of other Australian iconic products, such as Bega Peanut Butter, Bega Simply Nuts, Zoosh and Cream Cheese. VEGEMITE has been proudly made in Port Melbourne, Australia since 1923.

This role would suit someone with 1-2 years’ experience in chemical food testing and has an understanding of testing techniques.  

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of chemical testing for our products, including preparation, maintenance and analysis using a range of techniques

• Prepare and maintain lab equipment and conduct calibration verification as per the laboratory schedule

• Implement quality improvements and provide feedback on them using internal change management systems and protocols

• Follow Bega’s’ and laboratory specific OH&S policies, procedures and mandatory instructions.

• Develop own capabilities in chemical food testing by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training

About you

• Experience in chemical food testing, including benchtop gravimetric, titration and physical properties for Bega products

• Understanding of chemical techniques, able to troubleshoot method failures and offer input to improve laboratory testing systems

• Knowledgeable with regards to laboratory quality systems as per ISO17025

What you’ll do

The Senior Governance, Risk and Compliance Advisor is to act as the subject matter expert and thought leader in establishing, governing, and managing information security activities within Datacom.

Your key responsibilities as a Governance, Risk and Compliance Advisor are:

• Identify, develop and implement Security processes, standards and policies
• Work closely with our internal business units to ensure the application of security controls that meet Datacom and business requirements, and align to the Datacom Information Security Plan
• Work closely with our internal business units and clients to ensure adherence to Information Security Manual (ISM) and The Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
• On-going auditing, monitoring and improvement of security controls, including the development of Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA), System Security Plans (SSP), and Security Risk Management plans (SRMP).
• ISO27K framework and knowledge of building and running an Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Providing guidance, education, and training to ensure adherence and compliance (people, processes, and technology)

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in information security, audit, assurance, governance, risk or compliance and a sound understanding of information security principles, polices and standards
• Previous experience with stakeholder engagement with a strategic and strategy focus
• Experience with and good understanding of IRAP
• The GRC Advisor must have a detailed knowledge of agency-specific and Australian Government protective security policy, principles, and minimum standards, and be provided with opportunity to maintain this knowledge
• Understanding of contract deliverables and obligations
• Some technical knowledge to make informed decisions about business risks from vulnerabilities
• Ideally, you will be industry certified and may even hold a CISSP, CISM, MS or equivalent certifications.
• Experience in developing and administering an information security program (desirable).

About the Role:

As the Carbon Originator, you will be responsible for leading the negotiation of both long term and short term commercial agreements for carbon. Support may be required occasionally with renewables and energy storage transactions. These transactions will align with AGL’s wholesale portfolio value and risk management objectives and contribute to our Climate Transition Action Plan. Origination combines a broad range of skills across business development, negotiation, commercial, project development, corporate finance and critical analysis of market dynamics.

What you’ll be doing:

• Originating short and long term carbon offset opportunities to fulfill AGL’s strategic objectives to transition to a low carbon portfolio
• Lead smaller contract negotiations or assisting the lead negotiator on large transactions relating to carbon offset agreements, wholesale carbon customer sales contracting and a range of other contracting arrangements that will fulfill AGL’s strategic objectives, create value over the long term and manage future portfolio risk
• Managing relationships with market participants, customers, project developers and market operators
• Providing guidance to other teams within Integrated Energy, Environmental Energy Trading Team, Power Trading and Treasury Risk, Corporate Development and Finance in relation to carbon origination activities, including influencing and collaborating across business units
• Lead complex and bespoke negotiations, document transactions and implementation of commercial arrangements. Typical transactions will range from $5m to $75m
• Develop business cases to support transactions with the support of the analytical team
• Managing supply agreements existing in the portfolio, including establishing processes to enforce contract specifications and resolve conflict where breaches or non-compliance occur.
• Identify and develop opportunities for AGL to expand its activities in existing markets
• Support may be required occasionally with power and environmental transactions.

About You:

You will ideally have an existing network of strong relationships and a deep understanding of the carbon markets and contracting arrangements through your extensive experience in the commercial carbon sector.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Engineering or another quantitative discipline
• Experience leading large complex negotiations in the carbon market
• The ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all levels
• Experience developing strategies to balance risk and return and reduce procurement costs
• The ability to understand complex analytical concepts
• Advanced communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
• Advanced knowledge and experience in the carbon market and risk management
• Extensive negotiation, contract development and contract management experience
