Reporting into our Head of Service, you will work in a team alongside our Junior Accountants and Snr. Accountants to support a portfolio of small business customers to ensure they have set their finances up for success. You will be responsible for overseeing the work completed by our Junior Accountants alongside other key statutory requirements and compliance/management reporting. You're passionate about your work and understand the significant impact that timely and relevant financial insights can have on the growth and success of small business. We have a clear career trajectory within this role with career pathways to Snr. Financial roles, Management and further. We plan to scale quickly and are funded for high growth, meaning there will be further future opportunities across all areas of our business. You’re an experienced accountant, ideally in public practice who genuinely cares about seeing their clients succeed and is looking for a role where your proactive, client first attitude is recognised and rewarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing accounting work completed by our Junior Accountants
- Preparation of statutory lodgements (BAS, GST, payroll tax etc)
- Preparation of monthly management reports and financial insights
- Preparation of all periodic tax returns and compliance reporting
- Supporting our Senior Accountants with key business performance metrics
- Ensuring our clients have an exceptional experience in every interaction with you
Requirements
- Degree qualification with minimum 2 years’ experience in a public practice environment
- CPA or CA qualified or working towards qualification
- Proficiency in Xero and Xero payroll
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Ideally experienced in managing a portfolio of clients
- Great written and verbal communication skills. This role will require a high level of verbal communication with your peers, Leadership and clients
- Enjoy working in a small but growing team, focused on delivering to their clients
